Re: Quality Lost through Exporting

You have to choose the compromise between quality and file size. Internet bandwidth is growing fast, so I am choosing bigger file sizes and all of my products are in 300dpi.

I save the final file in tiff format (lossless format). After that, when converting in a pdf file, the system convert it in jpg with 100%quality (jpeg format without further compression).

The final result is between 3 and 5 Mbyte per page, depending on the amount of draw in a single page. To reduce the size without losing quality you can add single images in a page, so that they don't take the whole page. The white part of the page is not an image for pdf convert but only a vectorized empty space. You can do this with Words or with OpenOffice (that let you decide easily the quality of the pdf converter).

More to say than to do.

Re: Quality Lost through Exporting

Well, if anybody ever gets ina PDF bind, don't worry about bothering me. Worst case scenario is that it may take me a couple of days to get it back to you depending on how swamped I am at work.

Re: Quality Lost through Exporting

i have just found that if i print pepakura to pdf, open pdf in paint program, edit then print back to pdf, alleviates worring about picture format or quality loss.
