Meta -- increasing the number of segments on an object
Using metasequoia ---
Is there a way to increase the number of segments on an object you've already created? For instance, if you've created a cylinder for a fuselage. You've set your cylinder to have 16 sections. Later on, when you've unrolled the model and you're doing a beta build, you suddenly realize that the 16 sections produce a very angular fuselage. :( You know you can easily fix this by increasing the number of segments on the object. |

Use the knife to cut new segments.

Re: Meta -- increasing the number of segments on an object
Thanks.
Yes, the knife will do the job. But after using the knife, I'll have to manually reposition the vertices of the new segments. Let's say I made a cylinder with a 6-segment cross section (i.e. the cylinder looks like a hexagonal tube). Is there an operation in meta to convert that 6-segment cylinder to a...say...8 segment cylinder (i.e. octagonal tube)? |

I see what you mean.
Sorry I've always deleted and started again. Cheers JTF |

Re: Meta -- increasing the number of segments on an object
as far as i know there is no way to increase the diameter segments. it has been a problem for me on several occasions as well.
