Failure to pay is a really good way to kill the credibility of your own ebay account. If someone wants to do this, go for it, but I won't be joining them unless I figure out a way to create a stealth account.

if someone has an ebay account, just offer the alice stolen models for free, listing the author/artist, and explain about piracy.

If you go to the home page for the vendor (Alice), there is a message option at the bottom. I don't know if they remove any of the identifying information from the models..... I doubt they do. Once someone realizes they are paying way too much for a free model, the credibility (and sales) for the "Alice" site should plummet. It is sort of like free advertising, only worse for consumers.

First apologizes for posting this, I did not do a search and was not aware that this site was mentioned so many times in the past.

I am really liking some of the ideas such as spamming them with bogus orders etc. I think we should at least make an attempt so that others can hear our voices, and even better yet, make them aware that they are paying for something that is free.

Please keep in mind, I agree with all of you that want to shut down Alice Zhou
but...
have you noticed, it looks like they are selling "printed" copies of models that
are available digitally.
Although they may not have permissions to redistribute the original designs
they may justify their actions by offering the printed paper.

The models available in Alice's store are paper, plastic and diecast.

And many of those paper models are being offered in scale sizes that differ from the original.
Many seem quite large.
A lot of the Tank and AFV kits are 1/25, 1/18 and 1/10 scale.
WW2 Fighter aircraft in 1/33, 1/24 and 1/18 scale!
I assume they have been resized for printing?

I see two 1/24 scale P-51D Mustang kits.
The photos definitely show Modelart P-51D Mustang kits
These may have been originally available in printed form...but were 1/32 scale!

I would really love to see a few of their models to take a look at the print layouts
and print quality, as well as how the models have been resized.
And look at any attempts to hide the original source matter.

I am actually tempted to buy one to find out.
(but I am restraining myself so far)

...
yes, there is a "message" option on the main page of Alice's store.
Probably just a direct messaging system, so its not something that will
be printed on the site for all to read.

And...does Alice even read the messages? Does "she" care?
Can she even read english? (since I can't type in Chinese)

If we could get every member here...or at least a few hundred...
to agree to send messages, we could definitely get someone's attention.
But organizing people here is like gluing up clear acetate canopies.

I would suggest putting together a list of models that we recognize.
Specific details about models that we know the source, author, publisher, etc.
Then at least we can ask for those specific items to be removed from the Alice store.

What about the "Paper Aviation" site? They claim to have 3146 paper models you can download for "free" with a premium account, 30 days for $12.95.
They have Fiddlers Green, Model Cardboard, Modelarz, G.Pilsworth, Fly Model, Orlik and many more. What's up with this site is this a rip-off too?.......Rich

paper-aviation was originally a reference library of aircraft images.
mostly internet found profile artworks and the like.

I think the "staff" just trolled the internet amassing images
and used them without any permissions.
Along the way, they started to amass a collection of pirated/scanned paper models
and they added those to each aircraft listing.

As their collection (of pirated material) grew, they adopted the idea of being a source for paper models
...and all the files had free download links*.
*usually the original download link that came with that pirated model.

But eventually they put all the files onto one download site.
Not sure if they own the hostsite, but you are now required to buy a subscription to that
particular download service to get access to any of their pirated models.
They did not create any of the pirate scans, they just collected them from all over the web.

So, to answer your question..YES...everything they offer, images, info and paper models are all found/pirated/stolen stuff from the internet.

I think one good thing that comes out of threads like this about Alice and other sites like them, is education. Our members learn, at least I have, about where and where not to shop for models. Many people are probably not aware of the fact that Alice is selling models without the designers permission until they read about it here. We have new members joining most every day and I think it's good that this subject comes up every now and then.
