Why not just extract what you want from the pdf? Not only does it give the shapes it is drawn at the size you specified.

Good links Rubén but the video unintentionally highlights why 12 steps are not enough if you you are doing the development manually. 2 dulicate steps should be added at each end to give a smooth transition and avoid pointy bits when the ends of the curve are rolled together and joined up.

Not intelligence Dave, just practice from teaching it.

well sure but then I wouldn't have demonstrated a newly learned skill. And it's hopefully not the last truncated cylinder that I'll need to design from scratch.
