How to extract models from Empire At War?

Hi

I'm interested in Star Wars ships and I've come across a strategy game called Empire At War and a simulator type game called X Wing Alliance which have a very big mod community which has resulted in lots of different ships been created for the games.

Does snyone know what file format the ships are and how to extract them from the games? I have since found out that X Wing Alliance uses .OPT files for the ship models but i dont know what modelling/viewing software will accept that format.

I ideally plan to either directly bring them into Pepakura or via Metasequioa first ( i would rather import directly into Pepakura for simplicity)

Many thanks.

I would ask on X-Wing Alliance Upgrade forum.

Modelers that made new models can surely export in file fomats suported by Pepakura.

You can check this site, Sci-Fi 3D: The Ultimate 3D Sci-Fi Resource by George Mezori .Lots of models free to download.
