I'm really impressed with the care with which this model was designed and with your skill, Tommaso!

The crane, horse-drawn wagons, and truck are all amazing, but the tiny locomotive, complete with valve gear and other small parts, is a real wonder.

Your work is so precise! That tiny locomotive is just amazing! Thanks for sharing such a richly detailed build report.

Tommaso,

Thanks for all the input and for taking the trouble to provide the links. Much appreciated!

The techniques for working with tab-less parts are pretty obvious (and I have used some in the past) but for some reason I just did not make the connection!

What threw me were the small crates - being tab-less! However - all is clear now!

Your comment about the connecting rods on the steam are interesting - I bought the separate Rolling Stock Set (Vehicles of the Port Railway 1) and must have a look at he etched set to see if this is corrected.

Dear all,
thank you for the appreciation.

In the past weeks I made some progress with the train. A few wagons are now ready: here you can see the first two.

Cheers,
Tommaso

Tommaso, this is really nice. Very nice work on the detail and yet so small. I wish I had your talent to do this type of high detail craftsmanship. The wood grain of the decking comes across just as if it were real. Looking forward to your build. Great job. Thank you for sharing and allowing us to tag along. wc

Let me add my identical views to those of Wad Cutter. I have to keep reminding myself that this rolling stock is in 1/250 scale!
