A wonderful work of whimsy! Your little dioramas remind me of Thomas Cole's painting, "The Titan's Goblet":

A "fairie fishing village" might be a fun take on this theme, but unfortunately a bird bath is rather large and heavy. Also, it's somewhat risky to have paper houses so close to water...

Ah well a convincing stone bird bath can be made from paper mache and convincing water from Modge Podge.
