Fairie Ring

Mushrooms are crepe paper over a foam core. I purchased the mushrooms but removed the original covering which was cloth. Gesso over the paper to create a snowy ground look. The trees are made with little dental floss brushes. Pine cones are real although it would be possible to make them out of paper.

The buildings are all my own designs. They are quite small, the tallest one, the castle, being just under 3/4". The overall height of the piece is 6". The buildings are cut from a kraft paper colored, lightweight cardstock, 57 lb. Designed in 3D CAD, design unfolded and then cut by machine. The snow on the roof is white "Scribbles" dimensional paint. While wet it makes a good adhesive for crystal clear glitter.

That is very nice. Now you need a faerie stone to look through to complete the illusion.

A lot of MicroModel sized buildings and other micro sized buildings could be put into a winter scene or a storybook like setting. I also have a village inside a bird's nest. I wanted some unique product samples that were sure to get passed around on Pinterest. Many of my customers are women who are into miniatures and decorating for the holidays. They like to buy kits and put them together. My personal passion is for architecture so I just design buildings and let them use them as they please. Me, I don't have a place to display such things, I live on a boat and have industrial looking workshop space nearby. holidays.

These look a whole lot nicer than the fairy rings I've been trying to get rid of in my yard. Guess I should have looked closer before trying to eradicate them.

These really are beautiful in style and in execution. You should be proud.
