Jurassic Park entrance gate.

This is a project I had started allmost a year ago.
As several unfinished projects are laying around, it has to be finished once.

Via via I found the clempers Jurassic Park gate model, which has been stored on my hard disk for a while.

On august 30th, 2016 I started building the columns:

Finished the doors early october;

A while later I decided to repaint the columns, from brown to grey and rebuild them. Just this week I finally finished the columns and added a dinosaur figure I found at an dinosaur themed amusement park;

Now the flames have to be added and a base has to be build, as I don't want to use the original one.

Wow, this would go great with the Canon Creative Park T.Rex!

Tyrannosaurus - Dinosaurs - Science - Paper Craft - Canon Creative Park

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Bernie,

I had seen that model of the rex. But I lik the models to be more detailed. And not showing the white areas like in this models jaws.

Very nice. As far as the Canon model, judicious use of red marker on the back side of the jaw piece and black on the other pieces surrounding the mouth takes care of the glaring white. I know what you mean, though

Thanks Vermin King,

Well, this will be a mixed media model, as I have ordered some small brick flames from a certain toy line, to be used next to the doors. I only hope they will be in the correct scale.

Nice work! I like the T-Rex. I do a lot of the same thing with action figures in a paper model diorama. A lot of times I use the graphics (or make my own) and add them onto recycled cardboard or foam core to make the "movie sets" a little more durable.

Thanks for the comments so far!
Today I added the flames to the model, almost completing it, the only thing it needs now is a display base:
