An incredible project. I read back through the whole thing twice and am still not quite sure when it transitioned from a small Paris chateau through a Victorian cottage to the Cult of Cthulhu with U.S. Marines, but it certainly is a virtuoso performance. Great combination of modeling skill and imagination.

Thanks for the kind words. My imagination cost me a lot of lost playground time in my younger school days for "daydreaming", but in later years, as an engineer, it helped me solve problems, because I didn't see the ridged borders that other people did. My family will tell you that I have always been a click off in my way of looking at life in general (some would say "a bit irreverent").
Anyway, that's why my hobby projects take a bit longer than normal, because I keep adding or changing things on the wing, as I progress. The last time that I put together a Christmas Village layout, it took two and a half years and ended up covering an area measuring 19 feet by 22 feet. It was a trifle over engineered.

Stay with me ; I will complete this diorama before summer.

Now that I have all the major underwater pieces finished, I find that I will have to make the lagoon deeper to have everything submerged. I don't want to rebuild the pier (i.e. lengthen the pilings), so I will have to add a shelf in front of the sea wall to accommodate the pier. The overall height will increase about 3 inches. I am also thinking about adding some leds to illuminate the underwater lagoon (will see how that flies later). This week end will be used to layout the placement of everything and get the dimensions finalized for the base. Then I'll start building the base. It's a sure bet that it will not go smoothly (Murphy's Law and all that).

I haven't forgotten about this project; still gathering bits and pieces. And I have been devoting most of my time to the White Hart Inn Revisited project. Anyway, I am assembling Dave's 1930 Milk Bottle Delivery Truck for use in the scene. Maybe some of you (knowing my warped sense of humor) can figure out how it will fit in. Remember, the diorama will be full of parables and life progression symbolic vignettes (you didn't think I knew how to use them big words, did ya? Well, I just kept movin' 'em around until they sounded good).

Anyway, the photos show where I am. Photo 1 shows the hardest part in putting this together at approximately 1:100; cutting the gluing teeth on the sides of the chassis. Photo 2 shows where I am tonight. I hope to be able to finish it tomorrow night (we shall see).

I too like that Yacht in the Cottage diorama..
Reminded me of the Senator's Yacht in the movie Final Countdown (which I just rewatched).

I especially like that vintage AC Cobra.
What is that? about 1910? 1920 model?

OK, I have finished assembling the chassis of the milk truck. Gluing those itty bitty tabs to round out the fenders, at !:100 scale, took a lot longer than I had anticipated. The rear fenders are not as round as I had hoped (my building skills; not the kit). I will try ironing them again with a tiny piece of brass tube. I also think that I will add 3D tires to the inside of the wheels, after I try to fix the rear fenders.

Excellent job on that tiny little wee chassis!

I think this is the fourth Koolwheelz milk truck in various scales so far that has been posted in the Forum.
