Making "basic bits" for dioramas

I have started creating free small paper model sets, which I call "Basic Bits", where I make stuff that can be scattered in dioramas like crates, barrels and carts etc. to make the scene look more detailed and lived in. Not sure if anyone here would be interested, but I thought I let you guys know.

Here is a preview of the direction I am taking.

For now it will mostly be sets that work in "the past" (medieval, fantasy) but i also plan to make modern or sci-fi pieces too in the future.

I plan to release them every middle of the month and have started with this crate.

This is a little fantasy setup I did with just the one crate!

If you are interested, you can get it on my Patreon (it's free, no sign up required). The scale, if you print it at 100% is for 28-30mm minis, but you can scale it down for other scales as required.

If you have ideas, what you would like to see in such a series, please let me know! And - to sneak a little advertising for my Patreon in here - the Patrons get an advanced version with more options for changing the look as a thank you.

That's a nice looking set. Great texturing.

Thank you guys :-)

I want them to look as "lifelike" as possible, so I make an effort for a stylish realism.

Thanks Kevin for the many ideas. I will definitely add them to my list!!!

LOL ... the "one crate to rule the world" made me snicker :-)

I have released more free "Basic Bits" in the meantime (and maybe forgot to update news here ) I am seriously starting to need my own Social Media manager. Too many sites too update

Anyway, today I have released the advanced version of the cannons.

And here's a link for all the bits I made so far! https://www.patreon.com/papierschnit...?tag=basicbits

Enjoy,
Chris
