Jake and the Never Land Pirates

My grandson, Warren is having his birthday at the end of the month, and he is going through a Jake phase. His mom is doing a Jake and Never Land Pirates theme for his party. So, I took an image of Skully the Parrot and turned it into a 3d character, and re-designed some of the Disney Jr playsets for him, along with custom characters not available from the various playsets. As a matter of fact, I have two of Warren and two of his sister Zoey.

I redesigned the Treasure Chest and hope to get it done tomorrow, then I can get onto the Happy Birthday Warren book, which should be an easy project, the Pin the Tail on the Croc game, the islands for a Musical Island game, and a bunch of pirate hats and spyglasses.

Here's where I am at

And new roof on the house today, got my 1996 Impala SS out of the shop yesterday and registered today. Working on annual certifications on one of my businesses. So, I have to fill my abundance of free time with the birthday project. I still have a week.

I do think it will be fun as long as it lasts, but I am sure these will be trashed within a week. I just hope it is a fun week.

These are a bit of a learning experience for me, too. I've always been fond of pop-ups. The one with the ship I did as a pop-up. Re-textured the background to have the cliff extend below the hull of the boat, then worked out where the fold lines should be, then did a base plate mostly from my imagination of how the little bit of ground would extend outward. You should know me by now. I can't build anything straight from the template.

The gal at the print shop asked if she could call me to do her kid's next birthday. So, I think I did good work

Well, I have hats for Warren and twenty of his friends, now.

I need to give my knife finger a rest for the rest of the night
