"Park Güell, Barcelona"

Finished today after a long construction period. It wasn't that easy. It is the "Park Güell in Barcelona". The model is from the Spanish publisher Papeti from 2008, but as a new edition on a reduced scale (unfortunately not specified). Base: 24x20 or 15 cm.

Yes, it is. When Oldschooldm did the original model, he had many difficulties. You say it wasn't easy. Did you have any fit issues?

Yes, the fit of the terrain pieces was a little difficult because of the tension that would otherwise have been created.

You've done a very fine job there, Hobbywolfi. I seem to remember way back there was another kit of the Parc by the Barcelona firm La Ciutat De Paper. I think I've got one - somewhere...

Yes, it was a creation by Antoni Gaudi. It was projected as a luxury and residential zone for living ouside and over Barcelona, with luxury houses surrounded by gardens... The project never reach a great success and nowadays is one of the main monuments sited in Barcelona of the catalan "art nouveau".

Hello Philip, yes there are different models of it. But this one is a bit smaller and also saves space. Wolfram

Hello, Wolfram. I've just read your post about the fishing village and it prompted me to trawl my collection for the Parc Guell by La Ciutat de Paper, just to have a look. Turns out it wasn't Parc Guell after all, but the Parc del Laberint d'Horta. Do you know of this one? The model looks very pretty with contured gardens and the like, but is huge in size!
