Panzerkampfwagen Panther II 1:35 Diorama

a World War 2 it's always been my inspiration for making papermodel, this time I want to take a small story about the great event. The model it's panzerkampfwagen Panther II from German Army while on action, setting on Bastogne (Battle of Bulge), Belgian..and I put some accesoris like building, fences, tree, lawn, some dirt, etc.Well still on progres, here some shapshots:all critics and comments are welcomes.

The Panther II never progressed past a single incomplete prototype. The turret on your Panther is the late Ausf F (schmalturm). If your diorama is based around the Battle of the Bulge (Wacht am Rhein) then your Panther should be an Ausf G or possibly the earlier Ausf A.

Regards,

Charlie

Seems like I miss the historical event of panther II on action.I used the dr&*on production model kit as my main reference, and I thought it was used during the battle (nearly on Bastogne) while the kit was fix with some supporting troops.Seems like I had to change the panther into Ausf G or Ausf A..and of couse the title...into Panzerkampfwagen V Panther Ausf G...right?especially on turret structure.cause I'm fokus on the event. A lot of thanks Charlie,

This is one of the reason I have not done too many military models. There are many historical fans here and they can and will give you some constructive criticisms. Instead of placing a historical factual diorama, how about Guarding the the HQ. or Panther on Guard Duty.

Of the few dioramas I have made, I always opted for just a dirt road and some shrubs, for the same reason.

I still think you should also make the panther II, as there is only one avalible, in 1/60. 1/35 would be AWESOME!!!

have you seen the movie "Battle of the Bulge"?
if so, you should know what I am getting at! lol
if not, watch it, and pay attention to the Tanks.

...if Hollywood can get away with that in a big budget Motion Picture
then I think we can tolerate a slightly fantasized "Battle of the Bulge Diorama"! lol

Models can represent "what could have been" just as much as "what has been"
so unless you are presenting it as an exact representation of historical fact
then you can present whatever you want!

There are more of us "non-historically accurate" fans who appreciate the general idea just as much as the technically correct versions.

overall, I think the diorama is pretty darn cool...and i love a good cup of tea!
