IPMS Scottish Nationals

Hi Folks,

It's that time of year again (already!) for the annual two day bash at Perth. This Saturday and Sunday, 28 and 29 April. If any of you are in attendance, come over and have a chat. I will be at the HMS Ark Royal display. Hopefully I will be giving a presentation on Card Modelling at some point over the weekend.

All the best and happy modelling

Bernie

Looks like a great event, Bernie, and I presume you will provide us with lots of photos.

How does paper modeling fit into the competition rules?

Hi John,
You may want to consider visiting our Model Club in Crossgates, near Dunfermline. Pm me if you are interested.

Hi Don,

I think entries can be submitted under the Scratch-build category, I'll keep you all posted on this. And of course I'll post lots of photos.

Cheers folks

Bernie

Hello folks,

Just an update on the Perth model show. It was an all round fantastic event with all sorts of modelling-related fun taking place It was made all the more special by meeting up with Piotr Dziegielewski, better known here as Mbig. Anyway, here are some pics.

Piotr and yours truly

Stunning detail on the Zlin! There were very positive comments from all who had a look. And you know what? they couldn't believe it wasn't plastic

Of course there was something for everyone, along with meeting up with friends from near and far. New friends were also made and hopefully some converts to the wonders of paper.

All the best and happy modelling

I forgot to mention folks that the paper entries were all by Mbig, all of them his own designs and previewed previously on this site. Great work!

Looks like a grand day out.

The Zlin is very nice - you can see why people got confused.
