I went to the site and sent an email. I would like to go but having never gone, I do not know what to expect. How do I enter a model? Do they allow card stock? Is it only 1950s stuff or can my 1948 S.199 fighter get entered? and total cost? Things like that.

Great bunch of guys

This is a regular IPMS show, but usually the guys are interested in scale modeling in general, however, the models will be judged in accordance with IPMS rules. I know a lot of the guys that are affiliated with the IPMS here and they are generally a pretty good bunch. Most of these guys are also members of the model figure club, train club, model car club, etc.
That being said, you may run into some resistance from hard core plastic modelers that have entries, but most of the folks are generally friendly.
I'll see if I can talk to one or two of the guys and see if paper is OK.

David

Damn, I'd love to go, check things out, help man the table, and maybe enter a build or two but that's right in the middle of a two week trip home to Boston. Maybe next time.

Hello,
I am seeing if I have to work that week end or not. I do a lot of event work on the week ends so I may need to, but I should now today. If I have that week end free, then I will go. could be a real good time. Still waiting for an email reply from the contact person...

What kind of set up are you thinking about Chris?

Setting up a vendor table where you could work on a model or two of yours, hand out freebies etc

It looks like I probably have that weekend off, but my boss lady is double checking our event schedule now. if that's the case, then I am going. Might even bring a couple of the brats along, the older two anyhow.

Chris, I can sit at a vendor and play with glue, and pass out freebies if you like. Is this just a 1950s theem though, or whats the deal? I am also waiting for a reply to my email with more information.

Hopefully, I will know more tonight.
