My Dauntless is finished, and I was planning on running home for lunch today to take photos to post tonight, and thus meet the original deadline. I'll still do that, just in case the July 4th date is adhered to. If the decision is to extend, I'll probably just build something else in one of the other categories. I'm torn on this one but, whatever the concensus is, I'll accept it with a smile.

I can't say I'm all that happy with the extension, what's a deadline for? But knowing that people are pretty much unorganized and don't usually plan all that well, I guess I'm not all that surprised one way or the other.
I didn't enter the contest to win or loose so really in the end it makes no real difference either way. But it is a bit annoying....... Extend away, let see what you slow-pokes got. Swampfox |

Throw caution to the wind. Extend the dead line. Although I have not entered this contest, the players have been facinating and I look foward to more.

Well, to smooth all ruffled feathers, and some wise words spoken by Mon Colonel.
I will end the original challenge on the Fourth, and I will use the extension final for those builds in progress, and for any of the new members who want to jump in(including me). I hope this will be satisfactory to most, I hope all. Rick

Rick,
Works for me. I think that is fair. End this one as scheduled. And why not start a new one? I don't know about everyone else, but I'm having fun putting these FG models together (as time permits). ...and as you say, this gives new folks a chance to jump in and share in the fun (and discovery). Thanks for your work on this. Jeff |

I agree too Rick, I already have couple of entries but I wanted to finish the Phillips Multiplane too. If I get more time for this it's fine, if not I'll do it anyway 'cause I want to see those twenty odd wings together. :-)

Nice I'm glad to see an extension. I built a final FG model while on vacation but didn't have internet so couldn't post pics until today. Hope that counts.

I think Rick's solution is fine. I'm always glad when someone posts a build thread on an FG model. I do them mostly, these days, and I'm always looking to steal...er, borrow, an idea or two.
Thanks for your TIME, Rick. Garland |
