Daughter "yukata"

Felt like doing something to get me back into paper, and figures seem to work.. This is one of the great figures from the "Moekami site".
ダウンロード@萌紙

I like the relaxed pose of the figure.. From what I understand.. A yukata is a Japanese garment, a casual summer kimono usually made of cotton. People wearing yukata are a common sight in Japan at fireworks displays, bon-odori festivals, and other summer events. The yukata is also frequently worn after bathing at traditional Japanese inns. Though their use is not limited to after-bath wear, yukata literally means bath(ing) clothes.a summer kimono
Not the figure, but similar..

What I have completed so far..

It's great to see this one built! I have the files with me too but never got round to building her. It doesn't seem a particularly demanding model but the face from that period is still a little complicated...

Thanks guys... This attracted me because of the colors..pose.. and the different items that make up the scene. Would like to knock this out so I can jump on that WWI contest entry that starts on the 21st. More done tomorrow..

bench/table..

Assemble the base and the bench... Spray adhesive on the bottom and back pieces. Gives a nice strong non warping look..

Assembly..

Completed.. you can see where I managed to get a water stain in the corner of the seat. Lucky that it will be easily covered by one of the accessories..

Dear Peter:
I thought I had collected all the scale cubes out there. Never seen yours. Where did you find it?
Thanks,
MILES

Nice head, tip: I sometimes run the backside tips of the hair over with glue to prevent them snapping in random directions.

and I like that watermelon!
