Dear Robert:
On the way across the big pond as I type, I do wish Zio was still with us.
In my youth I did Lead Figures 54mm and 90mm, I would like more of Zios Style.
Sad,
Miles

That came out great!
I know I have the site saved somewhere but can't find it to save my life, would someone post a link to the site please? I think I'll have to build one modeled to look like it's from Game of Thrones. My wife (and I) have really got into that show and I would like to build something that looks like it's from G of T for her....Rich

This is a very nice build. Zio's kits are just terrific, even if sometimes they are closer to being a 3D puzzle than a model. I, for one, will sorely miss him.

Thanks to Miles for sending the instructions to me. I then found them on Zio's site. I had clicked on them before with no result. After clicking around I found you need to click on the far left of the box marked horse instructions to open it. It is on the download page for the mounted knights.

hikokibert - You are right about the caparison hiding the errors But you still got a great result.
Fortunately I did have the instructions when I started out on a Zio horse.

I think that it would be possible to make some great skirmish dioramas with these figures.
I also wanted to do at least one Napoleonic horseman, wish Fabrizio was still with us & not just because he might have given us a few redcoats!

Zio's metal figures are pretty great too of course, some really cool & unique art.

I remember talking to him about the transfer of his anatomy modeling into paper. He showed some real mastery in the flexibility of his base designs that are simple yet capable of complex poses.
You don't have to be a super advanced paper modeler to get nice results. Master Zio will definitely be missed.
