Bamboo Shoot

A quickie build that I did as a gift, though now that I've finished, I like it enough that I'll keep it for awhile .. Downloaded from here.. Very fun build, and many thanks to the designer for making it available!!

Bamboo Shoot | Paper vs. Zombies

Just a few photos of the build.. As I like my models to have a little bit of weight to them, that once I added the bottom piece I cut a small opening.. stuff lightly with unused toilet tissue.. than added sand to top it off. Sealed the flap with another piece, then glued it to a FoamCor scrap. Painted that brown with oils.. added a little ground cover..

When dry, I sprayed light coats of Future until I had a look that I liked..

Finished!!!

I can see why he'd be difficult to part with. Certainly has character

Nice job Peter! He certainly looks like a fun build. What's next on the eatcrow2 list of incredible models?

Back in 2005 when I had heart surgery, my USAWC seminar gave me a small bamboo plant in a pot as a get-well gift. It was in the window of my office for years until it finally expired. I called it my "Asian Fighting Bamboo." Your great model made me think of it. Thanks, Peter.

Thanks for all the comments. They are always appreciated!! As I change my mind it seems daily, not sure what the next build will be.
Have a couple of Korean models that the people who own/run the health food store got for me a while back, and have asked about. Both are figures.

It's always a treat to see your often amusing and off beat but ever skillful builds. Thank you for posting them.
