Anyone working on a minion that was mistaken for an Easter egg? My cousin wanted me to come up with an Easter egg stand for eggs to sit in and goggles to put on them, so I thought, why not in paper???

Motorcyclemodeler's 'Gerry Xmas Minion' from PM Downloads (I think I half sized this one) plus a std British egg ... Looks just the right size to me, but a large egg might fill it better.

Just cut around the braces line to remove top ... pop the egg in ... trim top to line below Goggles ... place top back on egg. Sorted!

Well it would be if my numb fingers could be trusted to use the scissors.

Oh how I wish my fingers would let me have a go at some of these, but no such luck. Five weeks since I finished the chemo course now, but my numb hands and feet haven't improved at all. Time to re-visit my local doctor methinks. If nothing else, I guess he can refer me back to the hospital. My big dread is that I could be stuck with this condition for life.

Those last ones are pretty much what my cousin wanted me to come up with. I'll have to pass those on

I do keep trying with simple toys, but the petal folds or circular dome rings required for the Minion shapes require much finger stroking to smooth the seams. With almost no feeling in my finger tips, this is proving impossible for me at the moment, as is the handling of small components like arms and feet. Perhaps I should try building them bigger, eh?

I've just printed out some cute cartoon bats and owls (from Chemicalnine.com) that are more cubee like. Hopefully I'll be able to work with them tomorrow, and maybe burnish some of the squareness out of them. You never know ... I just might soon be able to post some pics in the "BIRDS" thread.
