[SD] RX-78-2 GUNDAM Ver.Ka by June
Printed on 67lb cardstock and 65lb 176g/m red, yellow and blue metallic cardstock (Neenah Astrobrights). Aside from this being my first attempt with metallics I only have 14 photos of the designers completed build. No instructions.
It'll be fun! Really! Already got the shield done! It's all downhill. Maybe it's the Aleenes' Turbo Tacky glue but I couldn't tell the difference between metallic and regular stock - folded and glued up just fine.

Thanks! Every picture helps! I believe I've got a pretty good handle on this. It's not the first RX-78 I've built and you can only unfold a cube (or Gundam) so many ways. I really like the look of the metallics as accent pieces so far. Don't know if I'd do an all metallic model lest it go from Gundam to Glamdom.
Almost all parts sorted out I think.

High praise indeed coming from you Peter! Thank you.
A few gallons of coffee and some hours later we have a completed head and torso. Arm and leg pieces nearly sorted. It appears to be semi poseable with rotating shoulder joints and head.

I don't see any proof you actually drank any of that coffee...lol
No evidence of jittery hands... Nice clean build so far...! Last time I had a large pile of cut out parts on the table, wife came by and said "nice work", My reply "well I haven't really done anything yet". Little glory with prep work.

Twas' a good day. I may finish up arms/hands before I call it a night but this is pretty much it for today. I said shoulders were articulated and that includes swinging the arm out away from the body.
(Phil - that's 100% caffeine powered building there.)

Little labor with prep work on this one. It's one of the kits I used when reviewing the ScanNCut I just got. Machine cut ay least 75% of the pieces (Probly' closer to 85%).
