PaperMike's "Smurfette" by DanBKing

I did not take any photos of the build of this model, but I thought you might like to see the end result.....

I printed the template using a printer that I had not used before, and it turned out that the ink/print quality was terrible.
It did not matter how careful I was, the print cracked on every single fold...

So, I decided to paint it by hand using water colours....


This model is a gift for a lady friend of mine.....

Nice paint job, too. I have a question, since I have only made aircraft, spacecraft and a couple of birds: Why all the fold lines? Isn't it possible to just shape it more with your fingers while or right after glueing? I presume it's a pepakura thing, I have a mac so I don't do pepakura. But after glueing a couple of pieces together you would be able to smoothing it out from the inside with for example a small rubber ball. Especially figurines suffer from these fold lines, I think...
This is not a critique on your build, which I think is great, but more about the folding techniques used in most figurines.
