Upgrade or Delete?
Two things I have not done...SciFi and Figures. So I am doing both. Yesterday I started
on the Cyber Man, a modified file by Vermin King. I have done some modifications, including punching out the eyes, and layering the facial structure to get some additional shape. The initial shape of the helmet was done with standard cardstock, then super glue was used to harden the petals on top. Using the dremel tool it was sanded smooth then sprayed with metallizer stainless steel. Additional parts were added from Red River silver paper, and a coat of Krylon matte was sprayed to even things out. The rest of the assembly will be standard RR silver, with the matte spray to give the flat metal look of the cyber man. More later.

So, in spite of the decrepitude of advancing age, you can still build anything.

Apparently, they've changed how things are mounted in scanning electron microscopes...

You are actually encouraging me that my silly little mod might be worth investing some time into turning it into a nicer model.
Unfortunately, time is turning into a very valuable commodity these days. Real life getting in the way again.

He has been upgraded...2.0
So, I started looking at more cyberman photos, and decided I did not like v1.0, so it was deleted.
I stripped it down, re-sanded the basic helmet, and built new parts. During this, I deepened the face mask relief areas, added some extra disk to the ear piece, and modified whatever that top piece is. Additionally, I did not like the "tubing" of v1.0, so I took my styrene rod and made a proper piece. I am much happier with this one.
