Jessica Rabbit!!

I thought that would get your attention. I wanted to share my newest creation with you all.

I felt like building something different, and I came across this cool mask. It's the murderous Jason's hockey mask from the "Friday the 13th" slasher movie franchise. I was originally going to build it full scale (1/1) and just hang it on the wall, but then I found this online image of Jessica Rabbit being menaced by Jason, and my whole vision changed. I mean, it's Jessica Rabbit. C'mon.

Anyway, I reduced the mask to about half scale to size it to my generic deep base. I chose a walnut wood grain because I thought it complemented the chevrons on the mask nicely. Then I added the Jessica picture and a Friday the 13th nameplate. I made a mounting stalk of heavy cardboard, form fitted it to the inside of the mask, and textured it with the same walnut wood grain.

Pretty cool, huh? Sorry about the click bait title, but be honest, if I titled it 1/2 scale Jason mask, would you be here? And look what you'd be missing out on.

Enjoy the pics

I beg to differ - Jason Voorhees and Jessica Rabbit on Friday the 13th - a photo on Flickriver

I think you just didn't recognize her out of the slinky red dress.

I beg to differ...too...
just 'cause you call it a Rabbit,
doesn't mean it hops like one.

...
its all in fun.
I hope you don't take it too seriously.
I still like the whole display.
And the mask looks great the way you have presented it.
Top marks.

Do we get a link to the mask itself?

I see your point, Dave, but you have to admit she has Jessica's huge, soft, round... eyes. Anyway, the mask is linked from Removed prate site name and can be found here Had to remove the pirate link. Sorry. Beware, the file is hosted by 4shared, so there's a confusing jumble of download icons. The correct one is small, left of center, and about halfway down the screen.
