Landinggear
This is how i make ( and made on Dipper ) the landinggears for Blade Ranger. First i roll a piece of paper around the toothpick, for the vertical and then i roll an extra piece of paper for the horizontal. The horizontal piece is scratch by me because it is missing. Then i cut a slit in the horizontal piece, put the toothpick thru it and glue it together. When it is dry i cut the excess and glue the wheels on. Tadah a complete frontwheel.....

And here he is....
Blade Ranger in all his glory..
Conclusion: nice model to build, need attention and dryfitting. I did some scratchbuilding for sturdiness (toothpicks in the wheels, rotorblades, reenforcement on some details), weight in the nose. I have learned a lot building Dusty, Dipper and Blade Ranger. /Wilhelm |
