Rorkes Drift figure

Hello friends.

Time for a new build. This time it's the 24th Regiment of Foot infantryman in 90mm scale by Zio. This is my first attempt at one of these figures and is proving a delight to build.

Progress so far. Some sub-assemblies ready to go. The torso/tunic has layered details for the buttons and belt buckle.

All the best and happy modelling

Bernie

Looks good Bernie. I like the face. Should look great when completed.

Very nice build. I tried this figure earlier this year, but gave up, (Wimp) as I could not build the hat properly for starters and got disheartened. It will be nice to follow this build, to see how it's done - by someone who obviously knows what they are doing.

Very nice. Good detail on the layering of the buttons and belt buckle.

Great start. I really like to see the old Zio models. As far as figures, I've only done Jeanne d'Arc and the Marquis de Palma. One thing I learned is to do what appears to be the most difficult part first

Thanks for stopping by folks. Start with the most difficult part? good advice, that's why I started with the hat. I hate petals, but in this instance they give a good representation of the real thing. I printed two copies for this build. One for the build, and one for layering and any mistakes. Paper used is 120 gsm and parts are stuck with Aileen's tacky.

Cheers

Bernie

Dear Gotham:
Don't despair Just print Zios figures on 11 by 17 cardstock much easier to build makes up to approx. 6 inch figure and the printing is still sharp.
Been there done that,
Miles
