Good job you're not building Sabi's version, eh? She's lifesize.

No, the Mrs won't let me build her either.

Thanks for the kind words.

John, the lifesize version is just super. Maybe I will build it one day, partly, as a buste.

Now back to this one. Here some pictures of the slow progression I made so far:

As you can see, some extra work needs to be done. Dark colors are difficult to manipulate wiythout having the white traces.

After finishing the legs, I go on with the arms.

Grtz,
Joost

She's taking shape nicely Joost. Is that photopaper you're using, or a laser print? The semi-gloss surface really looks good, but as you've found, hiding the white seams can be a bugger. Especially with toner, which easily flakes at the cut edges. Best cure I can suggest is pastel chalks, sealed in with a clear spray on completion.

Hi John,

I do not print out the models myself. I always go to the print-shop (at least, we call it like that in Belgium).
They already know me over there and they let me choose the paper I want. For this model I chose normal 160 gr/sqm paper (not photopaper), but a more "silky" quality as the usual plain paper. It turned out nice. It seems that this paperquality did not "soak up" the ink, which was quite positive to keep the colors vibrant enough.

Grts,
Joost

Hi,

In the meantime, her left arm slowly grows...

Her hand and finger will follow for sure .

Grts,
Joost

She's coming along nicely Joost. You seem to be curing the raw edges quite nicely too. Take your time and enjoy building her.

It's a shame about Harley's Goth make up though. There looks to be a really pretty face under there. At least the artist has given her a sweet smile instead of the usual viscous grin.

Wink

After a long break, it is time to finish this model.
Here are some pictures of the left boot:

Both boots are ready now .

As you can see, dark colors are not easy . But it can be solved with a litlle paint.
Number 8 is the upper part of the boot which remains partly visible. Therefor I used black silk paper to cover up.

Here is the endresult of both boots, na coloring the cutting edges:

Harley still has only 1 arm , it's about time to give her the 2nd ...
Pictures will follow soon.

Grts,
Joost
