Harley Quinn
Hey folks,
I found this lady quite some time ago on the internet: Harley Quinn (SHEOL: arkham harley quinn). Being a character in the Batman-comics, she has enough personality for being top of the bill in her own comics. There is a lot more to tell about this beauty, but many already did. For those who are interested, I'm sure you will find the necessary info on the net . About the papermodel: - 5 pages of highly detailed parts (PDO) - height of the model: 350 mm (± scale 1:5) Only the pony-tails look a bit awkward. We'll see about that later. Maybe there is a suitable solution. That's it for now. The build will follow soon. Grts, Joost |

Oh yeah ... Anyone researching the "lady" tread carefully. The character has often been redrawn by many a 'deviant artist', and has even made it into several porn cartoons. I'll be watching this one. Best of luck with it Joost.

I tend to stay away from PDO models because of the many angles and straight lines (which I don't really like).
But this Harley looks really fine. The hair is a challenge! But it should look great when properly finished.

Thank you for the kind words.
@ John: I'll keep your comment in mind for the ponytails. I was thinking to look for brown paper (the same brown as the rest of het hair) which I need to cut in very fine strips. This only needs coloring the ends into red and black. @ Fred: It's always fun when we meet. Discussing (paper)modeling, joking around and enjoying a fine Belgian beer... @ Ruben: I know what you mean, but the designer of this model has done much effort to avoid the edgy look. As the pictures show, the head and chest are already done. In Belgium, we have the following saying: "there are 2 things to be afraid of: the frontside of a woman and the backside of a horse" . Only to illustrate that this part was not the easiest. But I'm happy with the result. Grts, Joost |

I've been working a bit on the shoulders and upper back.
Joining the front and back under the arms brought the correct shape in this model. Up to now, all pieces fit very well and it is fun building this model. Grts, Joost |

The last couple of weeks, I had a little less time to continue this build.
Nevertheless, I made some small progression. There's nothing much to say about it, the pictures tell it all. Grts, Joost |

Lookin' good Joost.
Slowly, slowly with figure builds. You have to enjoy every minute and caress (Err, sorry Mrs, I meant burnish ) the curves gently into shape.

Great work! I would love to make this lady myself but the site for downloading it is giving me a headache.
I guess I start my Lara Croft character first. Greetings from Rillaar (Aarschot), Luc |
