I recently bought this PC with Win10, and installed Pepakura from the official website. The file association was automatic. When that doesn't work, maybe the following helps: Go to the start menu, and click on "settings". Then click on "system", and look for the "default apps" item on the left. Almost at the bottom choose "default apps by file type". A long list of all possible file extensions appear. Scroll down to ".pdo" and you will be able to tell the system how it should be opened from now on. A more visual guide to this can be found here: How to Set Your Default Apps in Windows 10

Thanks, thought I'd done that but maybe I missed a step or something. Computers and I don't always have a friendly relationship.

Can you right click on the file then choose Open with from the drop down menu? If so you can browse for PKV and select it as the default program to always open all .pdo files.

Also, bear in mind that v3 .pdo files will not open in Pep v4 and visa versa. You need to have both versions available in the 'Open With' drop down.

Still can't get them to work automatically. Even reloaded P4 and it still says computer won't recognize them. When I tried to set the default it kept kicking me to Windows Store and buy app that you need. But I can click on the Pep icons on the desktop and open them. Then just have to go through, find the file and open it inside the program. Still pretty much think that W10 sucks.

At a very slow pace I wonder if I'll finish the Princess during this lifetime.
Anyways, here's the completed magic penguin hat. Instead of using the kit's small yellow circles I used 2mm craft beads painted yellow. It is a very complex hat to build. Very complex.

Since the contest was extended, I decided to advance in this model to see how far I can get.
The right hand was very difficult for me. I'm not used to this kind of models. The hand alone has some 14 small pieces, and each finger is about 1,5 - 2mm in diameter. It took me a whole afternoon to build the hand, and I'm not completely satisfied. The arm is a basic build. The torso was much easier. Using an embossing tool I added some texture to the frilly lace at the bottom of the bodice. So far, this is what I've done: I will left the other hand for the very end. Don't want to deal with it too soon. I will follow with the legs, lower torso, and the skirt. Thanks for reading! Until the next time
