Ultraman Jet VTOL paper model beta version

I wonder if any one recognizse this very retro vehicle. It practically knocked me off my feet when I first saw it, over 30 years ago.

This is the only the beta version, quite a few more kinks need to be fixed.

Very cool! Make sure those dodgy rebel pilots don't steal it...

that is the original science patrol vtol jet, from ultraman.
hayata had a really cool jet too,
and there is a space warp booster ring that takes this jet to other planets.

Wow, the original Ultraman VTOL! I've wanted one of these since I first saw it as a kid in the early 70's. I'm glad to see that someone is finally doing a model of it in paper. It looks great. I look forward to seeing its development.

yes, that is the jet. i am surprised i am not the only here basking in nostalgia. that is an awesome feeling

i will try to do a couple figures to go with this jet. in the meantime the rebel pilots will stand in.

i can't promise a date, i need to optimize the mesh a bit build a second one but i hope i will be able to pass this out soon. there will be a couple versions.
first this one (scaled longer to be more streamline) and a shorter one too that is closer to the original.

i used to be a huge Ultraman fan when i was a kid and i started getting back into it recently with all the new Ultra shows coming out of Japan right now (thank you fan-subbers G.U.I.S.). i look forward to the release of this and will definitely add this to my to build list. thank you for bringing back a little piece of nostalgia to me.
