Ok, time to renew this thread again.

Still holding our breaths for this beautiful kit. Only G1 has been lucky enough to build one so far.......

Hello All,

Been a while since I worked on this beast. That was way too much work just to let it stay a white model eh?

I asked Janx of the schemes he showed me which was his fav. He said the Lo-Vis. ver. so that's what I went for

Here we have the primer and then the base color laid out. Then some of the other colors being applied. This is a great way for me to start getting back into painting models as I've been working on some plastic and resin kits of late.

Here we have more colors applied and the dark gray marks masked off and colored.

I was jsut showing this to Janx but he asked me to share with everyone. I was going to post the final product, but here you can see it happen as it goes :P

With most of the paint on I printed out some rough unfolds of a base texturing by Janx. I used the parts to map out the textures by hand applied with a sharpened mechanical pencil. The tip has to be re-sharpened every 1 or 2 lines but it's worth it. When the dull coat is applied the lines will stand out better.

Note the parts fromt he base texture model differ in some areas so I have had to adjust the lines in some areas.

I'm pleased with the results so far, hope you all agree :D

I hope to keep the updates rolling but I'm trying to get this finished in a timely manner and doing prog. posting is some-what time consuming so bear with me.

Forgot to mention some of the textured areas have been used as decals.

Also I will be re-posting the Dangar thread soon. I have the next fighter but won't be getting started till this is either done or near to it

Oooooohhhh.......NICE choice on the paint scheme! The thing looks like a plastic kit! I await more pics!
