The following photos are of the helmet construction.
I'm amazed at how good the parts all fit. Fred |

This look fantastic. You have built is really well and it looks like it is made from metal. It makes me want to have a life size version so I can have a real knight, just like in a castle.
Wouldn't eight of them in a row look just great! Looking forward to the next set of photos |

Amazing! So well shaped. I worked for years with real coats of armor and this kit is very well done.

Thanks all!
Ab, often wondered what it would be like to wear a coat of armor. Bet the weight would get me. Managed to connect the arms to the body yesterday and finished the shoulder guards. Only the sword left to do. More photos to follow. Fred |

Of course I never wore them, but I can tell you that especially the older ones, like the one Piet Heijn, the conqueror of one of the Spanish silver fleets, owned were terribly heavy. Only the front for the chest weighed 20 kilos. Imagine to total weight of such a protection. The later, more ceremonial ones were not extremely heavy, but still uncomfortable to wear.
The protection for high-ranked officers was not really for fun. I can give you a long list of admirals who did not survive a battle. They were especially aimed at by snipers from the tops of enemy ships. |

The remaining photos show the body placed on the legs. Thinking about leaving the two parts separate for storage or transportation if needed.
Final 2 photos, the parts of the sword and instructions. Final height of the model is 25 inches. Fred |
