Zombie Mickey
No, he's not really meant to be a zombie. My wife called him that when she saw the colours of the scrap paper I was using to make him.
I used a free pdo file from a Pepakura site. However, to save ink toner I used scrap colour paper. This build was intended as a relaxing build, just to be 'making something' type of thing. There were moments that contradicted that aim. The pdo file was for art foam and so I had to add my own glue tabs for a paper version. Also, because of the way art foam curves/bends in designs, I also had to snip and change parts to accommodate paper's less malleable quality. Another difference between art foam and paper is that the tiniest slit in one piece can be made and glued together. For this paper model I glued little rectangles of paper on the inside of the head to hold those parts together. I've attached some photos of the build from beginning to end. I'm pleased enough with the end result that at a later time I'll probably build another one - but with the correct colours (on quality paper) and without the print lines being visible. |

That looks great, very beautiful. The color is strange, but the appearance is perfect. And a contribution to the ecology. I love it, very well done!
