Hello,

Original model has 60cm, but I printed model to A5 format. Model has 10 pages. For this moment I want to try do it this model without folding lines, because I am very lazy . Will see, how the assembly will looks like. I started as ususal from his head and some parts from his body, please check first photos |

Nice job. It is good to see that you resisted the urge to put creases in the model and made him smooth, much more natural.

Looking good. One trick I use on models to cut down on the faceted appearance is to not cut each tab individually, but leave them initially as a single mass, then cut the tabs into many small slits, giving the edge more points to form a curve.

JOB DONE!!!!
so model of Spiderman is finished. I hope you enjoyed my progress. New resized model is 42cm high, original was 60cm. For this moment I have not correct place on wall, so in soon time will be added next photos. I am happy that I finished model without folding lines for first time. How were the experiences? Assembly of this model was faster, model is stronger when I compare it with models with folding lines. But I need to say folding lines are very helpful in some areas. Will see in the future if I will continue with models with folding lines or no. Please check final photos. |
