Design: Dora Railway Cannon

Kicking start the first anime subject on PM.com ^^

I've been working on this project over the past few days, and looking at the current progress it's likely that I'll finish this design

-- Some might wonder why the current model looks nothing like a Dora cannon, well, as I said in the title, it's a so-called "personification" of the real thing, or more specifically, a "Mecha Musume"...

More info on this particular culture...

The human part of the design is pretty much finished, her face and torso was an upgraded version of my previous figure design -- since I remember spending a week on the face and I didn't dare to go through that process ever again... I'll start on the mechanic parts next.

Below is (hopefully) the end result, *I have no credit for the picture

(P: Sorry if anyone came from Zealot and saw this thread twice...)

Some more progress over the mechanical parts... I didn't stick strictly to the real thing because it's not intended to be a scale model.

Yea... I'm sure these stuff are more oriented to young people, --but hey, nobody's going to stop you if you really want to go into something, right?

And now for an update. --She's got a face!!

I'm not good at texturing after all...

...and that's the best I can do. Model is finished, unroll is next. (Now I need to unroll her 64 wheels!!! there's no cut-and-paste in Pepakura)

That's great as always Nezard!

It's encouraging to see more and more younger people getting involved with paper/card modeling and especially into designing these days...

Traditional planes, tanks, ships, etc. are always interesting in their own right, but avante-garde subjects - I find - are an increasingly welcome sight!
