Hatsune Miku

I've had this kit in storage for a long time. And I decided to build it during this lockdown as a gift for someone.

Height: 40 cm (15.7 inches).

Around 160 parts approx.

The base is a wooden frame with some custom design I made.

The most difficult part was to glue the long ponytails to the head. The rest of the kit is rather easy to build.

The design is by CrisisCraft. The kit is still available through the Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20170108...sune-miku.html

Photos are watermarked to hopefully prevent bad use of mi images by pirate sites.

That looks Great! Love Japanese anime. Been thinking about building some anime and or other figures, but I tried UHUo2's Tinkerbell a few years ago. Looked close enough to know what it was, but not as good as his. So a little shy about doing figures, but I have improved since then and the temptation is growing.

Terrific work. I really like the base too. I've built a few anime figures, and to me, they are one of the more difficult genres to build in paper.

To be precise, Hatsune Miku is not an anime character but a virtual human - an official image of the perhaps most popular vocaloid.

BTW, splendid model!
