hobikitkertas : MG-Sword Impulse Gundam

Hi all,
quite new here, mean most of the time I was in local forums. my site hobikitkertas.com, is a partner site of paper-replika.com, well maybe some of you knew me :D

Okay, this is my latest development, an entirely new Gundam Impulse. was made special for a local exhibition together with Jules for his paper-replika. Havent release it yet, and it may be take some time before I can finally release it. This version taken with MG body proportion, kinda different with my old impulse which was using a 1/100 grade body as a reference.

if you wanted to have an unreleased version, (which won't have adequate instructions), please contact my mail on [email protected]
Some pic below shows another pose, before I lock the joints for flying mode (I was trying to make a posable version, but they wont be good fixed state to be shown on the exhibition, they will keep falling. Thus I will end up releasing it as a "free to pose" instead of "movable joints"), and of course, a pic of my hand :D

Oh yeah btw, I made this model without any flaps for gluing. Everything just the faces glued together on their side, side by side. I'm using 80g inkjet paper. The non-flaps and thin paper combinations are great for small parts, like the chin you see there. They do also surprisingly great for long gluing area like the shield below.

I hope you guys like it! :D
see you!

Oh yeah,
forgot to mention the scale. It was non-standard gundam scale. My built is about 1:121 scale. I think I might release it with an 1:100 scale, as they are common and can sit side by side with their plastic counterparts, and of course hopefully be easier to build.

Very well done. I find 80g a little flimsy, but for small scales it sure is enough.

What glue did you use?

a "fox" branded glue. white glue type, become transparent when dry, like the yellow bottle in the picture. Its a cheap but powerful glue.

You guys got this kind of glue out there??

Wow! Nice job on your Gundam. I can't believe you built the whole thing without tabs.

Do you have any idea when you might release it?

@57townsman
THanks, I might release it after do some rescale it to 1:100. Will be a little bit larger though, and might become harder of no-flaps / tabs. But, hey, I think it's still doable.

To all others...
I think I'm quite in the mood to create a new gundam design. an entirely new. Can you give me an idea of which gundams would be for me to design.. a new one, don't yet exist, your dream gundam, whatever... Just let me know

Thanks!
