Some of you might be watching my B-wing thread, where you can see the pilot in his seat, but here are some shots of the Alliance Pilot complete. The build went swimmingly, I have some few things to correct, but nothing major. Note the right boot was cut short during assembly to replicate the shots of Luke with the jumpsuit pulled down over the boot. Both boot-tops are full length in the print/model.
I intend to get the build instructions completed over the next week as well as the helmet variants. The first, of course, will be Dak as I plan to build him and Luke into the resized paper-replica Snowspeeder. As promised, I have every intention of releasing two packages once done (of each completed model), one at 1:50 and one at 1:35. Enjoy! Sean |

These look really great!!!
I am will more then likely look like an idiot for asking this, but, How hard would it be to convert these figures into "Colonial Pilots" or "Flight Crew"? How easy (or hard) are they to pose?

Thank you, I am glad you like the figures!
I most likely will be releasing TOS and New Series version Colonial pilots eventually, and I have plans for all three 'generations' (WWI, WWII and modern) of British/North American flight crews for modern planes/jets, perhaps even this year. It will all come in time, my focus right now is getting the groundwork done and base figurines correct. Once my site is up I will be aiming for a release (free or paid) every month or so, but that will depend on my available time. Some figures obviously will require less time. For example, the Y-wing pilot (RotJ) requires only a retexture and a new helmet, same with the A-wing pilots. Posing for the most part is pretty easy. I make it a little harder on myself by sticking to white glue, which requires more patience during harder bits like the shoulder joint. Virtually any imaginable pose is possible, although some more collapsed poses, or acrobatic ones may present challenges. 'Convert' is a fun term; while you are welcome to modify for your own use (once I've made them available), I will not be releasing a blank texture version. Making bits for the figures is reasonably simple; kind of like making clothes for a very tiny doll. It is the main textures that are trickier. I have the advantage of the UV maps and the 3d model to work with and verify against. Modding the existing textured (and flattened) versions will require a bit more trial and error. Certainly I would not countenance any distribution of the modified files without prior approval. Thank you, Sean |

So I have finished the first prototype of my next model; a departure from the Sci-fi themed stuff I've worked on to date. It is fairly heavily influenced by Norman armour from the 11th-14th century, although the design and heraldry are my own creations.
While a bit hard to see in the pictures, there are three layers to the miniature; the under-armour padding (base figure), a mail hauberk, and a quilted surcoat. The mail coif fits beneath the helm (although the helm needs a little adjustment to fit better). The boots and vambrace, as with the other models, are laminate build-ups on the figure. ![]() ![]() Note this is still a prototype. I hope to have the final available for sale in the next few weeks. I've also included shots of a custom mod using the components from this kit and from the Rebel pilot ( all I need now is the Moldy Crow). ![]() ![]() ![]() Enjoy! Sean |

Whew... 2 months since the last update. I'm nearly at the point of setting up my site; my target is this month at the least. I've really spent the last few months building (Baneblade and LeMan Russ), but I feel recharged and ready for the next design.
That said, I missed my target of Easter for the Stormtrooper redo. I'll be a few more weeks (at least) completing the panels and textures (not to mention the weapons) but here is a sneak peek of the skinsuit. From this I'm sure you will infer the level of detail that will be laminated onto the base figure. Note this skinsuit will be the basis for all Star Wars 'Trooper' types and after I finish my next pay model I'll likely do either Scouts or Clone Troopers. Enjoy! Sean |
