Build: Indiana Jones by NinjaToes
here’s my version of Indiana Jones by NinjaToes.
Sorry about the picture quality but I was trying to over expose it a bit intentionally to make sure I (and you) saw all those white lines that I can neve get completely out. I don’t have a flesh Sharpie and natural light doesn’t show the spots I miss. Still, I needed a model to get back into shape since it has been months since I was able to get time to do anything. Naturally, with the movie coming up this model just called out! As with all of his models, the NinjaToes model comes with step-by-step pictures of the build process and he does a nice job with that. It makes the process easy to check as you go. The model is pretty straight forward and I have only a few comments. The hands are tricky but not too hard; just do the dry fit first and you’ll save yourself time. The satchel will not loop over the head so you need to close it around the body. I use the chad for ballast in the legs so that he will stand up with no assistance and add weight to the model. I didn’t pay enough attention when attaching arms and they sort of moved a bit on their own; same with the torso and he sort of twisted a bit to the left. As a result I left out the machete since I plan to ship this as a gift and it will just break off so…I thought of draping over the back but this is how it was meant and I’m happy with that. Lastly, I think the arms are too short anyway and they should be a bit longer (mid thigh) but if I could design models my word might have some weight. The color in the picture I think is the result of overexposure rather than how the model looks. It’s mostly a muddy brown and stands about 12”; a bit big for my taste so I will cut the next one down a bit. All-in-all, a nice model; fun to build, worth the effort. ( I hope I attached the pictures properly.) - tim |

Pictures attached fine and the model looks good. These figurine models look challenging, a lot of them seem like every part is a 'hard' part requiring complex curves.
Thanks for sharing

Nice model, Tim. I received the first volume of the "Young Indiana Jones" DVDs from my wife for my birthday in September, and have been watching them with my grandsons (7 and 12) in the cottage over the past couple of evenings. Lots of good card modeling subjects in the Indiana Jones films!

Looks good! It still amazes me how well figures can come out in paper!
