Sobieski's Winged Hussars
On Friday, my Army War College colleague, Dr. Craig Nation, gave a lecture on the Battle of Vienna in 1683. Jan Sobieski, King of Poland, led the Holy Roman Empire relief force against the Ottoman besieging army under Kara Mustapha, the Vizier of Sultan Mehmet IV and commander of the Sultan's field army. Sobieski's forces were victorious.
One of Craig's slides showed Kuba's winged hussars in action. Don

It's based on a classic historical (fiction I guess) book. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/With_Fire_And_Sword Also... you just reminded me how I haven't touched a model in 5 months
