how to print out individual scanned parts (gimp 2.6)

hey guys, I am redoing a part of my kit I screwed up (modelik Ol49) luckily i scanned the sheet in before I sunk the blade into the paper, but how do I print out a tiny piece instead of the entire sheet? I'm using gimp 2.6 by the way

Back up the original scan! Select the single piece with the lasso tool, invert the selection, fill with white, save as a new file and print.
