to be honest, I would guess that Acrobat could do this.
Just install Language Packs,
copy and repaste text in another Language
and then resave the file.

This is of course if you are looking to create a new PDF with translated text.

If you are just looking to translate the copy, then why not not just copy and paste the text
into any online Translator (or software translator)'and then just save to a Notepad or Wordpad document.

...

found this, but i don't really know much about it
says it a free program, but it could be ad supported

Code:
Translate PDF Documents

Do not download the program Dave referenced (Translate PDF Documents) Unless
you want your browser Default search engine to be taken over by this program.
It installs a tool bar and changes your preferred search engine in your browser.
I use Google as my home page so it affected that. I spent about an hour getting
my computer back to normal. I consider this Babylon program to be malicious.

I did say "it could be ad supported"
this usually refers to some kind of toolbar installation or crowser redirection.

I would say its time to install an Adblocker, a working Firewall and an Anti-malware program Ron!

I hate these kind of sneaky "sidedoor" invasions, thats why I run all three programs I just mentioned.

oh...and don't allow cookie installations.
Only allow cookie exceptions.

Word to the wise...many of the malicious Search redirects and Toolbar installs are asked for during a program installation.
Many people ignore all the install options, like usually choosing the "default" installation,
which then goes ahead and installs unwanted components.

People should always be in the habit of installing any program using the "custom" installation
and paying attention to what components get installed.

ps I use Firefox which also helps block home page redirects.

That concludes this public service announcement from dave's card creations.
have a nice day and remember...if its raining, wear a raincoat.

Dave,
I also use Firefox and the program does not give you the options
you are alluding to.Try downloading it yourself if you are confident
that you have the proper safeguards in place...Ron

Apparently, if it's not password protected you can upload a .pdf to the web and just paste the url into google translate. Never knew that myself.
I think when it says upload, it means to your own site (or google docs maybe?) and not a file upload site.
Copy and paste is probably quicker though.

Google(.com) Translate itself has a translate document link under the main text area. It does load .pdf, but fails when the text isn't text, just images (which won't be displayed) or if the file is locked.
