If you want the metallic look you can always use 3M aluminum foil tape. I use it allot in my models to get that metal look that you can't get with paint.

You can get it at any hardware store or wallmart if you have one there.

Sorry that didn't work out for you. This probably won't either but I am going through every thing I know.
If you have an air brush you can use this paint ALC-107 Chrome for Plastic | Alclad2.com If you paint it right you will get a chrome metal finish, you have to paint a black base coat first. Other than that all I can think of is using regular kitchen aluminum foil glued to the card stock and then smoothed out, then build your model. Good luck to you and hope to see pictures when you are finished. |

How about laminating a bit of aluminum foil onto some card stock?
Perhaps that will give you the effect that you are trying to achieve. |

Bare Metal Foil is available in several metallic finishes, has adhesive on it, is ultra thin and available in most good hobby shops or online. I use it a lot for plastic car models but have yet to use on cardstock but have a couple in the to do list.
