Thanks for the link to the online calculator above, saw that one a while ago but lost the link.
There's another chart like the one above at the bottom of this pdf that includes a few more scales to play with... http://www.finescale.com/~/media/imp...for_scales.pdf |

To print images of 1/24 model at 1/75 scale, go to web site below:
Portable Virtual Slide Rules. Download the zip file, open it, open one of the analog calculators in a JAVA enabled browser. Line up the "C" and "D" scales so 24 is under 75, read off .32, which is the scale conversion factor to enter into your printer program. Print images at reduced scale. Score, cut, fold, glue. Show off 1/75 scale model!! If you find the analogue scale conversion calculator is useful, you can find all the parts needed to build one for yourself (out of paper!!) here: Sphere Research's Slide Rule Universe, Build your own slide rules! |

Need some help with PDF printing. I am trying to print a Prudenziati Fokker D7 in 72%. When I open Adobe in my PC and print it just shows a small box in the center of the page. Printing also just prints a small junk of the page in a huge size. When I print other than Prudenziati .PDF's the scaling works fine. What s different about the Prudenziati .PDF's?

As I vaguely recall some of those Prudenziati pdf pages are humongous.
Choosing to print at actual size will show you the dimensions of the pdf page above the preview window. Probably somewhere around 28" x 32" Try a fit to page and see what the resulting % is to fit your default paper size. The reason you get that little box in the middle of the page in the preview is because Adobe is showing what area of the humongous pdf page will be printed. Even printing at 72% will just print a small area in the middle of the page.

Futzed with this for a while. In Windows 10 there is an advanced option "Print as image" This seems to have fixed it. No idea why.

If you don't already have one in the back of your desk drawer, you can use this
Curta-Simulator or this Virtual Pickett N909-ES SIMPLEX TRIG RULE with METRIC CONVERSION Slide Rule for calculating your scaling ratios. |

I actually still have a decent Faber Castell Slide Rule. I bought it in 1970!
An amazing piece of technology - along with log tables (which I no longer have).
