Just built the Battleship which is said to be based on RN KGV. Reduced from unknown scale
to 70% of the unknown scale. Enhanced a little on the seaplane, added some simple rigging
and used the sea base from ZIO's R.N. APE.
The model was downloaded from the site, Papirove-modely.cz
The original, by Rigby, should be from America's Greatest Comic Weekly dated
April 6, 1941 before the Pearl Harbour attack.

Very cool! And I love the idea of framing vintage paper models as art...

I have never seen the “King George V” battleship kit before. It looks good. I built the Rigby “Queen Elizabeth” a few years ago. It builds up into a handsome model. One of these days I’ll try to build the battleship “North Carolina” from the Rigby naval ships book.

A note on the Wheaties paper models. Wallis Rigby did NOT design those airplanes.

I've actually built most all of the Rigby's Paper Models. Sports Cars, Warplanes, Space Ships, and Boats & Ships, All except the large Ocean Liner, which I keep putting off......maybe soon???

Ah, memories! In 1943, I believe (my dad had been drafted into the Army), my mother built a passenger ship printed in the comic section with me. Probably was the Queen Elizabeth that John Dell posted. I also remember a bomber and a tractor with a string of bomb carts with 2D bombs. I was 8 years old at the time. Guess paper modeling goes a long way back for me!
