I found 65 pound in Walmart.

You also need to concern yourself with the size of the pages. Letter size in the US is 8 1/2 x 11, in europe the standard is A4 which is 8.27 x 11.69. If the download is A4 size, you will usually be cutting off some of the parts if you use 8 1/2 x 11 paper. You can verify the size when using print preview if it is not stated elsewhere.

Finding A4 size paper in the US is an difficult task. I use Legal size paper (8 1/2 x 14) if the downloaded pages are A4 size.

Good luck.

Here's a chart I found that might help explain

Interesting information so I need to research what Bond, Text, Cover, and Index mean.

Tom,

Most of the time, 65# & 110# are the recommended Weights.

If you have a Kinko's, Office Depot, or a place that does Copies & Printing, then you're all set. You can print most Models on your Printer; the ones that require 8 1/2" x 14" or larger sheets you can have printed out at the Copy Store.

I have heard that 65 lb is good or smaller model's. Does that mean smaller by size or scale?

Patrick,

I use 65lb exclusively, as I do build in the smaller scales. My opinion, and thats all it is,
the smaller the scale, the thinner the card. I have built some 1/33 kits, and I have noted
that a thicker card could be better.

For the majority of my builds (1/87 - 1/144), 65 lb is ideal.

For 1/33, 110 lb is better.

I am sure there are those who will oppose my views, but this is what works for me.

Enjoy the build!

I build mostly ship models. I prefer 110 lb for the most part, and 65 lb for the smaller parts with curves. Sometimes it means printing the same sheet twice. For the small tight rolled stuff, etc, 20 lb copy paper is better.
Not that I'm an expert or anything.

If not, there's gotta be a Walmart close by, they're everywhere. And they sell 110lb and 65lb cardstock.
