diy holder

I'm looking for diy ideas on how I could create some kind of clear holder for an airplane model. im not thinking about the clear boxes you can find at michael's. something that'll hold my model up. you usually see ppl use them for gundam models, to give them the illusion that they're flying.

Clear plastic sheet. Trace your stand outline onto it, cut it out, assemble, and there you go.

You can also use clear plastic rod, heated and bent to shape, then inserted into the exhaust, if your building jet aircraft.

Here are some pictures of a stand I made out of some scrap clear plastic from a package for use with a 1:33 scale (or maybe a 1:32 scale) model. You need to measure where you want the contact points to be and get a profile of the fuselage to cut out the cradles.

You can slide the airplane fore and aft to get it into the angle you want.

The overall length of the piece of plastic is around 10.5 inches/26.67 cm with a width of around 3 inches/7.62 cm.

Probably best to use some paper to get the bends like you want them and then use that experience to make the actual stand.
