My experience with Halinski has always been very good. He has even sent me PDF files of parts I have goofed up. As for instructions Halinski Aircraft are built starting with the cockpit and working out word. when making the frames cut/sand to the inside of the cutline's this includes the laser cut Frames as they are always a little over sized (sand them until you remove the burned edges. look closely at the frames very often Halinski makes a notch to accommodate the joining strip on the skin parts. If you study the Polish instructions for part numbers you will get a good Idea of how the model is to be assembled. The assembly typically starts at part #1.
Half of the fun of paper models is figuring out how they go together it's also half of the frustration. Jim Nunn

Really cant see the problem here, as all drawings and diagrams are sufficient and exhaustive enough to complete any model from Halinski without solving any puzzles and reading the text.
If model does not have instructions in english, maybe it would be good idea to either find somebody who can translate it, or simply get google to do it for you... am not suggesting third option though but it's there ;P So many models I've built, so rare for me to refer to the text... only situation requiring text are additional markings - but these can be easily explained and used in any other builds as rarely change... |

Really, the blame lies with this Jadar Hobby Shop. They should have solved the problem for their customer; what they did was saddle their customer with the problem. As a certain president would say: not good, not good!

Absolutely nothing to do with jadar hobby shop.
They just resold some printed kits. Just like you do. ... Its not up to jadar to provide english translations. And, its also not halinski's responsibility to offer english translations for their kits. but...if they already have english translations and offer them to their customers, it is a bit mean and petty to restrict them in this way. An english translation is not (in my opinion) legitimate piracy or copyright infraction. Its an incomplete component and its more a service, than a product. If a member here, spends their own time translating the text of a halinski instruction, I see no reason why they shouldn't be allowed to share them with whomever they want. Even on the forums. In the same way I could not stop someone from translating and sharing the text of my own Instruction pages into another language (other than english). (This is not the same as copying and sharing the complete Instructions (including photos and/or diagrams). I can see why this might a gray area for some...this is my opinion. I don't think its too gray.

Yeah, if a designer offers something, or tells you that you will get something if you purchase
then they should honour that commitment. ...agreed. It does not state on halinski covers that you can get english instructions. But if a reseller of a halinski kit, knows that halinski produces and gives away english translations, then its no surprise that they inform their customers of this (suggesting they contact halinski).

I don't see a reason to share the cover image of the model. It may be a very low quality image, but its still a copyrighted image. but the English translation pages are perfect! Not copies of the Halinski instructions. No diagrams. You still need the original kit for it all to make sense. Just straight text english translation. I have no issues with this. Lets hope some members create a few more...for any kit thats not in english.
