quality card stock model manufacturers

guys, which of the following brands are the most reliable (every model ism well thought out and designed), detailed, complex or easiest to construct?
I'm talking about halinski, gpm, flymodel and modelik

I think you can find good or bad kits in each of them. Once 2001/2 hit and they started publishing exclusively models that are computer drawn and mostly all test-built before publishing, I think you'll find that almost all the kits from all of those companies will give you good builds. As far as complexity / detail - it obviously depends on the kit. Yes, the Halinski's are all very detailed, but you can find models with extreme piece counts from all of them - the Scud missile launcher from Modelik is extremely complicated and has a huge piece count and amount of detail (I forget, 40 some pages of A3, IIRC off the top of my head). And don't count Model Hobby out of the high-end picture. Only 4 kits thus far, but each of them top-notch and the 3 that have had time to be built by customers get rave reviews. Plus Wak, Answer, Gremir Models and some more I'm forgetting.
I think that's as clear as mud - but to really answer the question, we'd need to have a more specific question, IMHO.

anywho, in this pic, the numbers 3-4/2003 is readily apparent, does that mean the kit was designed in the first/third quarter of the year 2003?

I think it's supposed to be months, so March & April, 2003. Not 100% sure, but it is a really nice kit, just dug my copy out.

The Halinski numbering system is 'kind of' be [Release number for the year]/[year]. So this is definitely a computer-drawn Hal.

Here's a build thread and finished pictures of this kit if you are interested

And my advice, if you are wanting to work towards building Halinski's and the like, the GeeBee racer available for free from Gremir (link) is a nice introduction to the 'modern' building styles. It has use of wire templates, some 'framing' structure around the cockpit, joining strips and a nice detailed radial engine to get you up to speed, plus being digital and mostly white, you can reprint parts to get it right

When a Halinski model (or a model by some other Polish publishers) has a number like 3-4/2003 or 7-9/2004 it is an indication that the model has more pages than normal and takes up 2 or more "slots" of the year's publishing schedule. This is quite common in the Maly Modelarz line.

There's also Modelart's Ju88A-4 if you don't want a fighter version.
